More details are emerging on the death of Architect Mike Chinweokwu, who died a few days ago. It has emerged that his death was highly avoidable, according a long time friend, who spoke literally in tears.

According to two sources who spoke to Okpanam Forum, the architect had stroke and was to be  rushed to the university teaching hospital in Benin, where he had lived for most of his life but the doctors were said to be on strike. Since his condition required quick medical intervention, he was said to have been taken to a private clinic which did not have adequate facilities to attend to him.

In that circumstance, the family, conscious of his health status as a diabetic and a long time sufferer of high blood pressure, decided to take him to Abuja, where they expected to get him effectively managed.

Unfortunately, the man died. Plans are now on to bury on early August in accordance with his wish to be given a Grail Burial.
