Major Azum Asoya Kidnapped

-Gun men storm Ogbe-Ozoma, Flee with Retired Major and Wife
-Kidnappers Demand N30m Ransom

It was a curious and sad day on Friday 30th November when Major Hyppolitus Azum Asoya, rtd, was kidnapped with his wife, Elizabeth by unknown gunmen who attacked the venue of the burial of Madam Rebecca Nwanze.
Major had arrived the venue of the wake keep in the company of his wife in his SUV unaware that they had been trailed to the venue of the ceremony. The gunmen fired three gun shots as warning into the air and pushed the 80yr old retired officer of the Nigerian Army into their waiting car with his wife in tow.
As at the time of this report, their whereabout is still unknown. efforts are being made to locate them and free them alive.
Meanwhile, a text message sent from Major's MTN line indicates that the kidnappers are asking for N30m ransom from the family in order to release their victims.
This would be second time that any one is being kidnapped in Okpanam soil as an earlier case had been reported in the past. It will be the first couple kidnap and observers are wondering why a man and his wife would be kidnapped and taken away at the same time.
